Accra/Ghana — The Africa 3535 Awards recognizes the top 35 youth under 35 years old among the most remarkable in Africa and from the Afro-Diaspora. For the 2019 edition, these champions of development and innovation were honored on Monday, November 25th, during a festive ceremony held at the Swiss Spirit Alisa Hotel in Accra. Selected among several hundred nominations, and following a rigorous selection, these 35 young laureates have spearheaded notable achievements in their communities. For this 4th edition, the 27-year-old Daraja HAÏDARA from Mali, a social activist, wins the Super Award of the African Young Personality of the Year, an award presented by Mr. Akwasi Opong-Fosu, former Minister of Environment, Science, Technology and Environment, Innovation of Ghana. Miss Daraja founded in 2010 « Al Barka-AIDE Mali », a humanitarian association that facilitates the sponsorship of thousands of needy children.
